Well I've been surfing the net for about 3 years now and designing web pages for about 2. I'm 27 years old and I currently reside in Wisconsin, but I grew up just outside of Philadelphia. I got caught up in the web like so many other people have, fascinated by the technology and information you can experience. I have a full time job working in a factory. It pays the bills but its not a real brain teaser. Once I got my own home, and put together enough money to buy a computer, it was off to the races. I found myself spending countless hours surfing the net. But after a few months I felt I wasn't using my computer to its full potential. That's where I got involved in designing web pages. I wanted a site that went along with my hobby of collecting diecast. It started as a free hosting webpage, and has grown into a full fledged website. Lou's Wheels has allowed me to gain the experience and practice necessary for designing a website. I've spent thousands of hours scouring the net for HTML help, Java scripts, flash, and much more. Every time I see a new feature I can add to my site, I'm on it right away. Using my computer and designing web pages has allowed me to expand my knowledge, and use my brain in ways I wasn't able to at my normal job. Designing web pages allows me to be creative and express my idea's on a public showroom, where 1000's of people come stop and see the time and effort I've put into my site. I don't think there is a better way to get people the information you want them to know, about your hobby or business then having a website available for them to browse through. A website can open up markets outside of your local neighborhood, to people all over the world. No other form of advertisement has that power. It crucial in today's market that your business has a presence on the web, even if its just to get your companies name out there for people to see. You don't have to sell a product on the net, to see the results it can give you. Just getting people to recognize your business or service will go a long way in making your business a success.
